Isabella Bennett is our fourth child - our daughter, a baby sister for Jacob and Joel. She was born an angel on August 18, 2012 and joins her older sibling whom we lost at 11 weeks in 2005. We cannot express what a rollercoaster of emotion the last 12 or so weeks have been, from discovering we were pregnant and dealing with the surprise of that.. to the absolute joy of having a new addition to the family in time for Christmas...a last chance. And then the pain of the last month since discovering Isabella was very poorly with Patau syndrome and was unlikely to survive the pregnancy term, and if she did - she would be unlikely to survive in life for more than a few hours. In such a short time we grew to love Isabella so much, she was a surprise, but a very welcome one and we were looking forward to her being with us and meeting her brothers. We are devastated to have lost her at 25+5 weeks but she will always be in our hearts. As a dear friend recently wrote "even the smallest of feet have the power to leave everlasting footprints in our hearts". We want to thank you all for being so supportive and wonderful, and for your cards, flowers, messages of support that have helped us know we are not on our own in all of this.
